Julie has had a successful career driving the establishment of strategic alliances and partnerships by proactively and effectively interacting with key stakeholders, in both the private and public sectors.
Currently part of Boehringer Ingelheim’s Business Development & Licensing Team, and based in Germany, Julie is responsible for leading contract negotiations and managing alliances (CAM) that support the scientific and business development objectives of the Innovation Unit at Boehringer Ingelheim.
Prior to joining CAM, Julie was Head of the Research Beyond Borders (RBB) Project Office and Strategic Partnering, where she facilitated the development and implementation of project proposals and their enablement through external sources of innovation. Prior to joining RBB, Julie was Director, Corporate Development for Genome Canada, where she developed and lead strategic partnerships with an emphasis on public-private partnerships.
Julie has also acted as consultant on behalf of start-ups and VCs to generate and enhance value of intellectual property, to develop commercialisation strategies and to establish a variety of business plans.
